Job Description:
The AWS and Snowflake Data Operations Lead is responsible for architecting, implementing, and managing scalable data solutions across cloud platforms, primarily AWS and Snowflake. This role blends leadership, technical depth, and operational excellence to support enterprise data ecosystems and drive transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Engineering
• Design and implement robust data architectures using AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, EMR, Redshift) and Snowflake features (Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Iceberg) for ingestion, transformation, and analytics
• Lead modernization efforts migrating legacy workloads (Teradata, Oracle, SAP) to Snowflake on AWS
• Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, SQL, and orchestration tools like Airflow and Jenkins
Data Operations & Governance
• Manage data lifecycle, cataloging, lineage, and quality controls across layers (Landing Zone, Domain Model, Reporting Layer)
• Implement security and privacy compliance frameworks, including PII handling and encryption
• Monitor job status, configure alerts, and troubleshoot failures across AWS and Snowflake environments
Analytics & Reporting
• Build and maintain dashboards using tools like QuickSight and Tableau
• Support adaptive recommendation systems integrated with PEGA CDH and AWS/Snowflake for telecom clients
Collaboration & Leadership
• Lead cross-functional teams in delivering data products and AI-powered applications
• Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers
