Overview: The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all environmental, health, and safety programs within the manufacturing facility.
This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while driving a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and sustainability across operations.
The EHS Manager will partner with leadership, supervisors, and employees to proactively identify risks, reduce incidents, and support overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:Lead, develop, and maintain all EHS policies, programs, and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standardsConduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and site inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actionsManage incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action plansDevelop and deliver EHS training programs to employees and leadership to promote awareness and engagementMonitor and analyze EHS performance metrics, preparing reports for leadership and regulatory agenciesPartner with manufacturing leadership to integrate EHS considerations into daily operations, new projects, and process changesEnsure proper waste management, emissions control, and sustainability initiatives are implemented and trackedLead emergency preparedness and response planning, including drills and training exercisesSupervise and mentor EHS staff or safety committee members (if applicable)Stay current on EHS regulations, best practices, and industry trends to ensure compliance and continuous improvement Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)5+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentStrong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and ISO standardsProfessional certifications (CSP, CIH, CHMM, etc.) preferredProven ability to lead EHS initiatives, influence teams, and build a strong safety cultureExcellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills Key Competencies:Safety leadership and employee engagementRegulatory compliance expertiseAnalytical and problem-solving mindsetStrong communication and training skillsAbility to influence at all levels of the organization
