RPG Developer

Job Description

ITTConnect is seeking a RPG Developer to join our team. This is a new position with a client that is a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology and engineering services present in nearly 50 countries. Their client is in the Cruise / Travel Industry.

Job location: Miramar, Florida. Position is hybrid, Mon-Thu onsite in Miramar.

Responsibilities:

Support custom reservation applications, written in RPG(all versions up to RPG Free), SQL, on the IBM-i (AS/400) platform

Perform unit and integration testing

Deploy fixes and enhancements

Handle duty phone calls

Own, investigate, and resolve reported defects

Code software in a way that is reliable, efficient, reusable, and well documented

Comply with company and department policies and procedures including Change Management, Incident Management, SOX, PCI, and coding standards

Perform other duties as required

Work experience on Agile methodologies preferred.

Requirements

Strong programming skills with recent RPG and IBMi experience

Minimum of 5 years RPG experience

Proficient with several RPG versions such as RPG III, RPG IV, RPG ILE, and RPG Free

Able to use Integrated Development Environments such as RDi, or RDp

Working knowledge of IWS, JSON preferred

Experience with analytical tools such as Hawkeye and X-Analysis

Familiar with change management tools such as Turnover and Aldon

Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Knowledge of MQ Series, JWalk, LegaSuite, Confluence, JIRA, Remedy, or Clarity preferred
