Pediatric Locums Job in Oregon 24 Hour Call Specific Dates Needed December-January Assignment

Coverage Needed:

December 5-December 7, 7 AM-7 AM

December 18-December 21, 7 AM-7 AM

December 31-January 5, 7 AM-7 AM

Seeking 1-2 Pediatric Physicians to provide coverage for the listed dates

One local provider will have first pick of one week; remaining three weeks will be filled afterward

Shift Description:

24 hour Call Coverage

Weekend Coverage

Solo Coverage-No Backup Available

No Office Call

Average Callback: 1 hour/day

Onsite Rounding: 1-4 hours/day

Requirements:

Board Certified in Pediatrics or IM/FM (If IM/FM, MUST have significant Pediatric and Neonatal experience)

Oregon Medical License - Required

3-year Pediatric Residency - Required

PALS and NRP - Required

ACLS, BLS, DEA - Required

Clean Malpractice/Background - Preferred

Local Candidates Highly Preferred (No Flights)

Must have Inpatient Care experience for at least 24 patients as attending in past 24 months

Must be comfortable with Neonatal Resuscitation, Intubation, Lines, Emergency Meds, and Stabilization for Transfer

Assignment Details:

No NICU; provider must stabilize and transfer sick newborns

Duties include 24/7 call for Newborn Care from OB, ED Admission Consults, and Med-Surg calls for Neonate/Peds Patients

Provider is Primary Care for Newborn/Peds Patients

Admissions: 1/month via ED

Patient volume: 0-6/day
