What you’ll do at OhioMHAS:

The Epic Analyst – Grand Central is responsible for the implementation, support, and optimization of Epic’s Grand Central module, which manages patient movement, admissions, discharges, transfers (ADT), and bed management across the behavioral health hospitals. This role serves as a bridge between IT, clinical operations, and patient access teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and accurate patient flow throughout the continuum of care. The analyst plays a critical role in supporting registration, throughput, and operational efficiency in alignment with agency goals and regulatory standards

Key Responsibilities

Configure, build, test, and maintain Epic Grand Central components, including ADT workflows, bed planning, transport, and patient status management.

Collaborate with patient access, bed management, clinical operations and IT teams to design and optimize workflows for patient movement.

Maintain integration between Grand Central and other Epic modules (e.g., Cadence, ClinDoc) and third-party systems.

Monitor and troubleshoot ADT interface issues and ensure data integrity across connected systems.

Support compliance with regulatory and agency policies related to patient status, location tracking, and throughput.

Participate in Epic upgrade projects, regression testing, and change control processes.

Develop reports and dashboards to support operational performance metrics.

This is an hourly position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of #30 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are Monday-Friday, 1st shift. This position is located within our James Rhodes State Office Tower at 30 E. Broad Street, 33rd Floor, Columbus Ohio 43215.

Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

Position Qualifications

Alternative 1:

2 courses in computer science or information systems.

OR

6 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: computers &/or electronics and/or telecommunications performing routine analysis, programming, installation, maintenance and/or systems support, solving problems with pre determined methods on basic hardware or software including experience providing customer support.

OR

The equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
