In this hands-on role, you'll partner with cross-functional teams and plant leadership to drive a strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture while ensuring compliance with internal and external safety standards.
This is an onsite role reporting directly to the Site HSE Manager.
Responsibilities:
Lead and support HSE programs to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Conduct regular HSE audits and field assessments
Assist in developing and delivering employee HSE training
Champion Honeywell's Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) Program
Drive continuous improvement using tools like Gemba walks, standard work, and visual management
Promote positive safety behaviors and hazard recognition at all levels of the plant
Collaborate with teams to embed HSE into daily operations
Qualifications:
YOU MUST HAVE
Minimum 1 year of Health and Safety experience
Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field OR Equivalent work experience.
WE VALUE
Experience with environmental regulations (RCRA, EPA, DEQ, DOT)
Safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM, RSO)
Experience in manufacturing or chemical processing environments
Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory frameworks
Proven ability to influence safety culture and employee engagement
