Detailed Job Description:
The primary duties of this position are ensuring effective, safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations of mechanical systems and equipment, building controls and utilities. This includes providing quality indoor air and a comfortable environment for Facilities Operations and Development. Duties include but are not limited to: building automation operational oversight; daily operation and management of mechanical, HVAC and electrical systems and components; assess and resolve issues with controls, and building automation; write and install programs that resolve HVAC related issues; manage/participate in the equipment commissioning process; develop and monitor energy saving processes; as well as optimize and maintain the operation of the various HVAC systems throughout campus. This position supports systems across 14.1 million square feet of campus research, administrative spaces, business, academic, and laboratory space both on and off campus. This position manages assigned operations and capital funds and monitors utility budgets. This position provides direction and oversight to the operational team. This position also may respond to emergency situations, such as electrical and
mechanical system outages, and may assist with evaluation of and correction of problems. This position is subject to afterhours call-ins.
Experience:
Two years of college or technical school resulting in an Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and related engineering experience, highly desired. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in BACnet systems to include complex building HVAC system applications and engineering, LANs commands/configurations, alarming, scheduling, proprietary interfaces, integration and system management, PC operation and workstation software; network training and/or experience working with network configurations and troubleshooting; broad knowledge of a variety of Direct Digital Control systems; knowledge of UPS and Management Cards and set up; knowledge and hands on experience of Servers; knowledge of Switch Programming and IP infrastructure/networks.
Additional Information:
The target hiring range for this job profile is $ 55,700 - $72,700. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
