CLASS 2 DRIVER

MONDAY - FRIDAY: 05:00 - 07:00 START TIMES

£14.75 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Birmingham, WEST MIDLANDS.

Rates of Pay:

Basic: £14.75 per hour (minimum eight hours pay per shift)

Up to three nights out per week - at £25.00 per night out

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 2 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

RDC or Brewery Deliveries no handball (working on curtain-side)

Operate and drive various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly

Adhere to traffic laws and regulations

Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers

Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management

Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed

general haulage up to five drops with the use of a forklift

Essential Skills

As a Class 2 Driver you will need to:

Hold a valid UK Category C Licence

Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving Category C vehicles

No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes

Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card

Must be able to speak and read a good level of English

Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills

Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations

Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

Experience driving any commercial vehicles

Previous experience with multi drop deliveries

Training

Driver's Assessment must completed

Following a successful assessment, there will be a paid induction
