As the Finance Manager for our Tanzania operations, you will play a pivotal leadership role in overseeing all aspects of financial management, ensuring robust governance, and driving sustainable business growth in alignment with Group and Regional strategic objectives. You will be responsible for statutory and group reporting, budgeting and forecasting, tax compliance, financial controls, working capital optimization, and the professional development of the finance team, while embedding a strong control environment and ensuring adherence to Group, Regional, and local compliance standards including Rules of Procedure (RoPs) and internal control protocols.
This role demands a highly skilled finance professional with proven experience in multinational environments and demonstrated leadership capabilities. The Finance Manager will act as a strategic partner to the business, leveraging expertise in SAP R3, OneStream, and IFRS to deliver accurate financial reporting, insightful data analysis, and sound financial guidance in a dynamic and complex environment.
The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role, and hold a recognized accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA). An MBA or postgraduate qualification is an added advantage. The role requires a results-oriented, resilient, and collaborative leader with exceptional communication skills, unwavering integrity, and the ability to support both compliance and growth priorities.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
Recognized accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is mandatory
MBA or other post-graduate qualifications will be an added advantage
7–10 years of progressive experience in financial roles, with at least 3 years in a similar leadership capacity
Solid experience working in or with multinational organizations
Strong familiarity with Tanzanian financial, tax, and regulatory frameworks
Technical Skills
Advanced knowledge of SAP R3, OneStream, and Microsoft Excel
In-depth understanding of IFRS, local tax codes, and reporting requirements
Strong data analysis and financial modeling skills
