What You’ll Do
As an Automation QA tester, you will be interacting with business analysts, developers, system testers and business users at JFS to system test a complex system and to ensure that business expectations are met and quality software is deployed to production. In this position you will practice excellent customer services skills, work with DB query tools like TOAD, AQT, and SQL Developer, and leverage Objected Oriented Programming for performance testing concepts.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Creating detailed test plans
Mapping requirements for traceability to test scenarios
Executing tests to identify any defects
Guiding detected defects through the defect lifecycle to resolution
Utilizing tools such as HP ALM, ALM Octane, and Azure DevOps
Schedule: 8 hour shift, between 7am-6pm as determined in consultation with supervisor, Monday through Friday. This position will be required to work outside normal work hours and scheduled shift in the event of emergencies and service outages.
Travel: No regular travel expected. May require occasional in-person work for scheduled trainings or all-staff type meetings.

The ideal candidate, at minimum, must have the following:
OPTION 1:
36 months work experience in any combination of the following: designing and performing systems analysis, developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications recommending application solutions and/or testing and correcting programs as it relates to testing and implementation and assisting with documentation
AND
12 months work experience in Software Testing/QA Tools (HP ALM, ALM Octane, and Azure DevOps)
Option 2:
18 months work experience in any combination of the following: designing and performing systems analysis, developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications recommending application solutions and/or testing and correcting programs as it relates to testing and implementation and assisting with documentation
AND
12 months work experience in Software Testing/QA Tools (HP ALM, ALM Octane, and Azure DevOps)
AND
Completion of Associate's core program in Computer Science or Information Systems
Option 3:
12 months work experience in any combination of the following: designing and performing systems analysis, developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications recommending application solutions and/or testing and correcting programs as it relates to testing and implementation and assisting with documentation
AND
12 months work experience in Software Testing/QA Tools (HP ALM, ALM Octane, and Azure DevOps)
AND
Completion of undergraduate core program in Computer Science or Information Systems
Or
Equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.

Pay Information
This position is in the State of Ohio’s OCSEA Pay Schedule, Pay Range 33. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $33.52per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.
