About the Role:
Our Escrow Accounting Specialist will be an integral part of our team's success, learning how to work as a part of our Escrow Accounting Team and growing their knowledge to be able to go beyond completing tasks to actively helping problem solve when things don't go according to process. Working Knowledge of Banking Tools: Provide backup support for accessing bank accounts and using specialized accounting software used to track escrow funds.
Process Payments: Handle incoming and outgoing wire transfers, Real-Time Payments (RTPs), and check-related tasks. This includes using fraud-prevention tools, processing final payments after closing, and following up on checks that haven't been cashed.
Daily Financial Tasks: Balance escrow accounts, issue payments, and handle special cases like refunds or losses.
Assist with Unclaimed Funds: Help track down and follow up on funds that haven't been claimed to make sure they're returned or reported properly.
1099 Tax Form Support: Help review and correct missing or incorrect information for 1099 tax reporting forms.

Follow Company Standards: Complete each task with accuracy, attention to detail, and in line with our company's customer service values.
Deliver Great Service: Ensure everyone involved in the transaction has a smooth, professional, and positive experience.
Stay Organized and Accurate: Process all escrow-related payments and records correctly and on time, helping the team stay in compliance and maintain financial accuracy.
