Job Summary:

This position is responsible for supervising direct labor associates at a specific manufacturing location. Production Supervisors possess an advanced skill set in one or more manufacturing specialties to provide direction to associates. Production Supervisors monitor work orders and prioritize and delegate tasks to ensure needed items meet production schedules. Production Supervisors may be required to complete manufacturing tasks and fill-in for MFG Team Leads as needed. Production Supervisors may perform other tasks as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise direct labor associates at a specific manufacturing location

Provide direction to associates on assigned tasks and procedures

Provide training and performance feedback

Conduct associate check-ins; responsible for achievement of goals and objectives

Complete other supervisory tasks as needed

Manage production processes and procedures

Review weekly work schedules; prioritize and delegate tasks to ensure needed items meet production deadlines

Monitor work orders and adjust operation details as needed

Communicate production needs or changes to cross-functional department

Respond to and resolve production or job material issues

Complete troubleshooting of complex manufacturing issues

Submit ECRs (Engineering Change Requests)

Collaborate with management on production priorities and goals

Ensure compliance with safety regulations; maintain clean and organized work areas

Complete other manufacturing tasks to support operations as needed

Experience and Education:

2 Year / Associate Degree

5 - 7 years related experience and/or training

Position Requirements:

Proficient computer skills; ability to use MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Knowledge of inventory management and order entry systems, such as SyteLine and Factory Track

Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes and fabrication materials

Advanced knowledge of proper quality control procedures

Ability to read architectural and foodservice drawings

Mechanically inclined; ability to work with shop machinery and basic hand tools

Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16th of an inch

Ability to add and subtract fractions

Communicates well with others; asks for and offers help when needed

Detail oriented; meets quality standards and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness

Organized; completes work in a timely manner; able to prioritize and meet deadlines

Problem-solver; gathers and analyzes information skillfully and generates suggestions for improving work

Capable of working independently and as a member of a team; contributes to building a positive team spirit

Observes and follows safety procedures
