Role Overview
Manager – Costing will report to Finance Head/Director Finance and partner in cost accounting of the company as per policies.
Key Deliverables –
Cost & MIS:
- GL Control & Reporting- Product Costing
- Preparing & reporting – Per MT analysis for paper business, BCS, PPM, Yield & inventory cost analysis
- Cost loading and FG/SFG valuation
- Daily Dashboard preparation
Book Closing-
- Passing all monthly closing entries
- Provisions
- Working out cost loading details, accurately & timely.
Key Controls:
- To do material balancing with yield analysis.
- To Ensure that all invoiced jobs for plant(s) are closed in the system at month end.
- To remove inter division sale profits.
- To ensure proper accounting of CWIP - SIP jobs at plant(s)
Inventory:
- Working out proper inventory valuation & passing appropriate monthly entries.
- To do reconciliation of Fact & Inventory (Inventory module vs GL reco). to verify with movement analysis report.
- Inventory reconciliation on timely basis with GL
- Inventory ageing
- FIFO preparation for Major raw material items
Compliance: Reporting to different agencies - Income tax, NSSO, RBI.
Fixed Assets:
- To ensure capitalization is done for assets which are put to use/ get certification from plant. Get formal certification about commissioning.
- Ensuring assets are created with appropriate details & tagging.
- To work out monthly depreciation & passing relevant entries.
- To ensure Spine software and GL are tallied.
- To prepare Asset Movement Analysis.
Income Tax (3CD Details, IT Depreciation, Details for IT scrutiny assessment, Details for Transfer Pricing)
This position has Internal working relationship with:
- Finance Team: Ensuring & supporting timely closure of books
- Top Management: Provide reports
This position has External working relationship with:
- Govt Agencies: To resolve relevant information
- Consultants/advisors: coordinate for various tax matters.

- Direct, control and monitor adherence to all legal and statutory Compliances.
- Responsible for implementing company’s Ethics and Code of Conduct and other Corporate policies
Environment, Health & Safety
- Ensure implementation of safety, environment & health standards / compliance under the Factories and various Acts and in line with company policies
- Ordinating and ensuring the personal safety of all employees in the Industrial area and also
employees of subcontractors.
- Ensure the safety of all employees in the plant and also that of subcontractors
Educational Qualifications: CMA/ICWAI or MBA – finance
IT skills: Hands on experience on Microsoft Navision ERP, MS-Office & Excel,
Experience:
• Should have 7+ years relevant experience
• Exposure on HFM (Hyperion Finance Management)
