Trelleborg Medical Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. This hybrid role supports both sustaining of site operations and new product development. Applies engineering theory and principles to advance and optimize molding operations; follows good manufacturing practices (GMP) and principles to develop robust manufacturing processes.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Analyze product specifications and translate these into manufacturing processes to establish production rates, achieve expected quality levels and establish reliability of finished product.
Expert user of manufacturing equipment, intimately understands machine functions and can determine what equipment is required to produce a given product
Working knowledge of automation systems to be able to use and troubleshoot them once implemented by the automation team
Conducts reviews of new tooling and proposed tooling revisions.
Acts as tooling design review input champion.
Develops and optimizes process parameters for new and existing tooling while considering production standards and cost.
Identify opportunities for improvement to existing processes and methods using data or observation. Develop the improvements and implement them as quickly as practical.
Supports production in troubleshooting production problems with individual components, individual processes and help improve the situation to assure customer delivery dates and superior quality.
Review production schedules and engineering specifications to resolve production problems.
Trains manufacturing personnel on new production processes
Performs DOEs, and participates in the development of control plans, Process Maps, and PFMEA documentation.
CAPA- Active member of the CAPA team responsible for implementing permanent corrective actions.
Actively Support Production, Engineering and Quality departments.
Work safely and act in accordance with all safety policies and procedures.
Collaborate with Automation, Tool Room, and Training departments as needed.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Hands-on (operating manufacturing equipment) processing experience with plastic injection molding

Pay range: $70-88k depending on experience
