Position Title: Mail Inserting Operator
Location: Fidelis Care, 480 Crosspoint Parkway, Getzville, NY 14068
Anticipated Start Date: 09/01
Expected Duration: 3 months
Job Type: Contract with possible extension
Pay rate: $18.00/hr on W2
Need: 1+ year of experience operating mechanical inserters in a mail production facility; USPS postal regulations experience strongly preferred.
Position Summary
Position Purpose:
Operate and maintain an inserter to produce mail pieces and prepare mailing for the Post Office. Inspect pieces during production and make adjustments to keep machines running.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1+ year of experience working in a mail production facility operating a mechanical inserter.
Experience with USPS postal regulations strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Produce mail pieces using automated inserting technology.
Operate folding machines, cutters, and bindery equipment.
Operate machines that insert printed matter (letters, booklets, etc.) into envelopes.
Maintain equipment per the provided maintenance schedule.
Maintain optimal productivity levels.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Daily Schedule & Training:
Schedule: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM EST, Saturday–Wednesday shift (Thursday/Friday off).
Note: If a holiday falls on Thursday or Friday, days will rotate.
Training: Follows regular shift hours. Includes Centene University courses and shadowing until the operator is fully prepared.

This request fills a position vacated by FTE Imrana Khan and most recently held by contingent worker Michael Kauffman.
Position is part of the weekend and holiday coverage team.
Typical Day in the Role
Operate mail production equipment to insert output into envelopes, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
First Day: Tour of operations and facility, Centene University trainings, and shadowing with operators.
Work environment: Loud—most team members use earbuds or headphones.
Interaction: Collaborative but independent work rhythm with focus on quality and efficiency.

Education/Certification:

Experience:
Must-haves: Manufacturing or retail experience.
Nice-to-haves: 1+ years of mail production experience, troubleshooting machine issues, and USPS postal regulation knowledge (strongly preferred).
