Infrastructure Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA, United States

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: 8 hours/day On-call support as needed (including holidays and off-hours)

️ Travel: Business trips may be required depending on project needs

Salary Range: $75,000 – $120,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)

Key Responsibilities

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining a stable and secure IT infrastructure to support company operations and growth.

Infrastructure Design & Deployment

Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable IT infrastructure systems

Develop and deploy infrastructure solutions including network systems, servers, and storage

Security & Compliance

Collaborate with the security team to ensure systems meet compliance and security standards

Implement controls and monitoring tools to protect data and infrastructure

Operations & Troubleshooting

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot network/server issues

Ensure high availability and efficient infrastructure operations

Documentation & Support

Maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure architecture, policies, and procedures

Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams as needed

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field

Minimum 2 years of experience in an infrastructure engineering role

Technical Skills

Expert-level knowledge of network and server technologies (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, Linux)

Proficiency in operating systems (Linux, Windows)

Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)

Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and efficiency

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
