Description
Identify and prioritize Commercial (CML) processes across the end-to-end client lifecycle, Produce accurate, clear and concise artifacts to support the policy and adhere to Enterprise standards. Map & assess current control adequacy & efficiency, ID gaps, prioritize & remediate. Catalog & assess all additional supporting documents and create a plan to remediate gaps. Map KRIs & Credit Committee Metrics. Develop plan for artifact sustainability.
Core Functions:
Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of end-to-end Commercial business walk-through documentation, including related risks and controls
Develop a target state model for the Commercial business procedures and controls
Provide strategic leadership for executive decision making, and advisory services for guiding high performance commercial business teams
Review and challenge control assumptions to confirm sound internal control
Identify and leverage cross-functional synergies and streamline control processes to optimize the Commercial business
Drive innovation and a continuous improvement mindset to evolve the Commercial walk-through documentation (develop AI proof of concepts)
Navigate ambiguity to learn and develop solutions for long term Commercial business success (Problem Solver)
Apply Huntington’s core values (Can-do Attitude, Service Heart, and Forward Thinking) when coordinating/partnering with internal process owners, internal audit, external audit, and regulators
Provide training/guidance to control owners, other stakeholders on risk ownership
Provides technical expertise and judgment to implement and monitor modifications to
processes in accordance with changes in the regulatory environment
Basic Qualifications:
7+ years expertise in risk management, internal audit, and control frameworks (COSO), with a strong focus on leveraging risk taxonomies to enhance commercial business risk identification, categorization and mitigation strategies.
7+ years of experience project/program management and process engineering experience
7+ years of banking experience primarily in Commercial Banking
Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Requirements:
Knowledge of Six Sigma and Project Management Professional (PMP) methodologies to process improvement initiatives preferred
Ability to utilize MS Office Suite, SharePoint, and Visio
Strong leadership skills that drive results; Able to lead via influence
Build culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
Comfortable working with a variety of leadership levels
Strong problem-solving skills as well as client management and executive-level communication skills
Ability to take ownership of tasks and manage most elements of an entire work stream
Critical-thinker able to quickly identify themes and patterns and connect the dots for solutions or efficiencies
Results-focused, highly motivated and self-starter
Strong organizational and communication skills; excellent writing skills to ensure clear, concise documents, tools, and templates
Process Improvement (Six Sigma or related) / Change Management (Prosci or related)
