Job Description
Major Responsibilities:
Keep crane clean, maintained and inspect for any safety issues.
Determine if any parts are malfunctioning.
Drive truck/crane from warehouse facility yard to job site.
If crane is to stay on/at job site, it is the crane operators' responsibility to ensure it is safely secured, and all company protocol has been followed before leaving the site.
Operate crane to lift, move and position materials.
Place blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing when lifting heavy loads.
Verify load for accuracy.
Determine safety of the load up.
Move levers and pedals to rotate crane on chassis to raise and lower crane boom and to raise and lower load line.
Perform other duties as required.
Promote a positive team attitude with employees.
Adheres to all company policies.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Must have a current driver's license, with no major traffic violations CDL and NCCCO crane certified is a plus.
Display a professional and courteous attitude to coworkers, supervisors and general public at all times.
Must be able to follow oral and written directions as well as provide them Is self-motivated.
Report to work at the designated start time, must be willing to travel and work away from home when required. Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
Be able to work overtime when required. Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperature, both hot and cold.
Must be able to identify all hand signals, weight limit and safety regulation and operation codes that are relevant for crane operation.
Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operation and production areas per company policy.
Must be at least 18 years of age due to the nature of the working environment.
Have the willingness to work in a team environment an assist coworkers or supervisors with other duties as required.
