Job Summary:

The Purchasing Associate I maintain strong relationships with the organization’s vendors and internal customers. They conduct market research and perform basic daily tasks to relay information, resolve PO and invoice issues, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products and materials.

Essential Responsibilities:

Assist with sourcing new suppliers, generating requests for quote, preparing purchase orders, and expediting orders (specifically direct shipments).

Assist in resolving receipt, quality, and invoice issues.

Generate and distribute daily reports.

Communicate between various departments in the company and with suppliers.

Other responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant equivalent experience

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents.

Excellent customer service skills.

Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present

information and respond to questions from both internal and external customers.

Demonstrated reliability and accountability, even in academic, volunteer, or extracurricular.

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent

Motivated and ambitious with a strong desire to learn and grow within the organization.

Proactive problem-solver who takes initiative and seeks out opportunities to improve processes.

Ability to read blueprints.
