Electrical Engineer – Lead High-Impact Projects In Lighting Used For Aviation and Tactical Applications

We’re seeking a skilled electrical engineer who’s ready to lead major design efforts and partner closely with engineering leadership. In this role, you’ll manage programs from concept through production, and contribute directly to the design of advanced lighting, batteries, electrical harnesses, and other mission-critical gear. This role has significant growth and advancement potential.

Key Responsibilities
Circuit design and troubleshooting down to component level
Project management related to new product design and significant redesigns
Leads regular engineering meetings for aviation and military engineering projects
Provides estimates and timelines for proposed projects
Monitors and manages project schedules and milestones
Collaborates with the Chief Engineer for new product design and development
Supports the Chief Engineer and Production Engineer for release to production
Provides technical documentation for product design, development, and qualification
Services as back-up for Chief Engineer as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or 5+ years of relevant experience
Circuit design and troubleshooting capabilities to the component level
Working knowledge of printed circuit board design and related software experience
Engineering project management experience in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated engineering documentation skills and experience
Proficient in systems, programs, and software similar to those used at BaseWest
High level interpersonal and team management skills
Excellent written, verbal and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Project management and resource budgeting experience
Experience with project management systems and software
Experience in C++ programming / coding
Experience with MRP/ERP software systems
