Laboratory Technician

Job Description

The Lab Technician supports laboratory operations by assisting in the preparation, testing, and analysis of samples in accordance with established protocols. Working under the supervision of senior staff, the technician ensures accurate data collection, maintains laboratory equipment, and upholds safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare samples, solutions, and reagents for testing.

Conduct routine laboratory tests and procedures according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Operate and maintain lab equipment

Accurately record and report data, ensuring attention to detail and quality control.

Assist with inventory management and ordering lab supplies.

Follow all safety, cleanliness, and compliance protocols (e.g., GLP, GMP, FDA, OSHA).

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry).

0–2 years of lab experience (including internships or academic labs).

Understanding of basic laboratory techniques and equipment.

Skills:

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to follow technical instructions and SOPs.

Effective communication and teamwork.

Basic computer skills for data entry and lab management systems.
