Job Description
We're hiring a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team in Phoenix, Arizona. The Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient production and adherence to quality standards. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Process Optimization:
Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
Conduct feasibility analysis and cost estimation for new manufacturing processes and equipment
Quality Assurance:
Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications and regulatory standards
Collaborate with Quality Assurance team to resolve manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions
Project Management:
Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of new manufacturing technologies, equipment upgrades, and process improvements
Manage projects from concept through completion, ensuring timelines, and budgets are met.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings initiatives
Implement lean manufacturing principles and techniques to streamline operations and maximize productivity
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and project updates.
Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), production metrics, and project milestones
Training and Development:
Provide training and support to production staff on new processes, equipment operation, and safety protocols
Required Skills/Abilities/Qualifications:
Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and automation
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on root cause analysis
Proficency in CAD/CAM software and familiarity with ERP systems
Ability to effectively communicate technical concept to diverse audiences
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering
Proven experience in manufacturing engineering or related roles within a manufacturing environment
Hands-on experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting, standing, and performing repetitive tasks.
Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally and perform tasks requiring physical exertion.Company Description
