General Summary

Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of Rayburn Country Electric Cooperative, Incs (Rayburn) buildings and facilities, to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for employees and guests. Works independently with diligent attention to detail, using judgment and initiative to address responsibilities.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities / Knowledge

Maintains cleanliness of Rayburns facilities, including offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.

Performs daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.

Establishes and maintains a regular cleaning schedule.

Ensures cleaning equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.

Uses independent judgment and personal initiative to perform tasks.

Empties trash and recycling bins, ensuring proper disposal and replacement of liners.

Cleans and disinfects restrooms, replenishes supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels), and ensures facilities are in good working order.

Maintains and operates various cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, mops, brooms, etc.

Ensures office and facilities supplies are at a level that will allow the office operations to run at optimal levels.

Monitors and maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.

Reports any unsafe conditions or needed maintenance repairs to supervisor.

Keeps storage areas organized and clutter-free.

Subject to on call outside of established work schedule as business needs dictate.

Key Accountabilities

Complies with all policies, procedures and confidentiality agreements effective as a result of employment with Rayburn.

Shares information with Rayburn management and staff, contractors, and other third parties in a timely manner, as required.

Delegates jobs and tasks to appropriate employees, providing complete information and resources to properly complete such jobs and tasks.

Provides Rayburn management with updates and/or reports on work and tasks as requested or required.

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or executive management.

Job Specifications / Skills Required

Education:

High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.)

Experience:

Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred

Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Knowledge of cleaning materials and equipment to ensure safe usage of general cleaning chemicals.

Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Aptitude for effectively managing time and prioritizing tasks

Able to work effectively in a team environment; willing to assist others

Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license

Physical Demands

Ability to bend, reach, stoop, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.

Ability to perform repetitive motions in order to use cleaning equipment.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
