Extension Educators Coordinator 3- Montgomery County

This position is in Montgomery County, Ohio.

Responsible for developing and teaching school enrichment and outreach programs and expanding the 4-H program with the coordination of the 4-H educator. Serves as a recognized leader at 4-H volunteer or youth programs/events and actively works to diversify program participation consistent with OSU extension’s AA/EEO policy. Supports the development and coordination of residential and day camp programs. Assist with the promotion of the 4-H program through marketing and social media venues. Utilize a variety of education program delivery methods and teaching techniques including distance education, electronic media, newsletters, individual and group meetings, demonstrations, and capacity building to accomplish educational goals and to reach target audiences. In-school and out-of-school audience subject matter to include but not limited to STEM, Real Money/Real World, Ag in the Classroom, Workforce Readiness, Healthy Living, Leadership, and Junior Master Gardeners. This position will support all program areas: 4-H Youth Development, Family and Consumer Sciences, and Ag and Natural Resources, with primary direction and support coming from the 4-H program/educator. Developing and managing volunteers as well as program evaluation and reporting are essential components of this position.

This position will build relationships with community partners and publicize and promote Extension youth programming on social media, websites, and with target school districts and out-of-school time programs. Participation in professional development and team meetings as well as county level Extension events is expected and be a part of office coverage to ensure strong customer support.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be required. Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred. 2 years of relevant experience required. 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.

The pay range for this profile is $16.65-$21.77/hourly. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
