CIP Sanitation Job Description
Maintaining the cleanliness of our production machinery and pipes.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older with the ability to read, write and speak English
High school or equivalent diploma required
Good verbal and written communication skills
Able to read and comprehend instructions
Self-starter; does not need direct supervision
Dependable and strong attention to detail
Honest, hardworking and self-motived
Able to work alone
Perfect attendance record
Reliable transportation
Must follow all GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices)
Supports product safety and quality
Follows all company policies and procedures
C.I.P. Sanitation experience is a plus
Job duties include, but not limited to:
Conduct End of Day Clean in Place Sanitation Procedures for All Tanks, Machines, PD Pumps, Piping, Parts, & Equipment.
Follow CIP Instructions specifically step by step.
Mix cleaning chemicals w/ water to appropriate ratios.
Assemble / Dis-assemble specific equipment.
When finished CIP, reconnect pipes, valves, and connections in production mode.
Clean and sanitize pump parts and hoses.
Floors are squeegeed and free of standing water.
Blow down Boiler.
Verify & Document Boiler, water, chemical tests.
Follow CIP Instructions specifically step by step. Do not skip any steps.
Communicate with the Management regarding any Safety, Quality, Operation procedures, and Company policies that need attention.
Always be alert, aware, and comply to all Sanitation, Safety, Quality, & Company Policies & Procedures.
Clean and sanitize production line operating equipment (mixers, tanks, packaging equipment, pumps, etc)
Maintain cleanliness of your assigned areas, equipment, and machinery.
Manual cleaning and sanitizing of materials including but not limited to utensils, pipes, clamps, screens, filters, etc.
Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities
Support of and involvement in company food safety and food defense policies.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Know how to read safety data sheets in English (SDS)
The work shift is spent in the factory which ranges in temperature depending on the season. There are many physical demands and the C.I.P. technician is required to lift and squat up to 50 pounds. The C.I.P. technician must also bend and stretch to reach equipment for proper cleaning. Employee safety is critical to this position so 100% compliance to Lock-Out / Tag-Out and being fully responsible for one's own safety as well as the safety of others in expected at all times.
C.I.P. is critical to maintaining the sanitary condition of food manufacturing environments so performance is not only tracked for timelines but also effectiveness through pre sanitation swabs and visual inspections. This position requires individuals that not only can be efficient with limited supervision but also candidates must have a very high level of pride in the work they perform.

Safety glasses, floor squeegees, broom & dust pan, sanitation boots, mops, plastic apron, face shield, rubber gloves, air hoses, pallet jack, cleaning chemicals, dust mop, cleaning rags, equipment cleaning brushes, hot water, water hoses, carts,
Physical Demands:
Be able to lift or push up to 40 lbs.
Able to work on your feet the entire shift
Perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, bending, pulling, walking, climbing on ladders and or machinery
1-3 evenings a week M-Th
7:00pm – 11:00pm (times will vary)
Opportunity for other nights when needed
