Title: Process Engineer
Reports to: Process Engineering Manager
Job summary:
Responsible for the overall process of the production floor
Create and maintain process flow maps (PFM) for all products, lines and materials movement and placement
Maintain the layout of the production floor.
Works with the planning team in setting up required lines based on production volume
Works with GME (Global Manufacturing Engineering) in defining requirements for automation.
Perform time studies, line balancing and determine throughput for each line or product.
Develops and maintains the staffing requirements for production lines based on time studies and processes
Monitor factory efficiency based on the time studies
Works with the New Product Introduction Manager and customer on introducing the new product, and the process to the area
Collect process, and quality data throughout the introduction and life of the product
Produce the New Product Introduction Report to the New Product Introduction team, and the customer
Develop new tools as needed to support new products, and existing products
Develop new procedures to document the process, and product builds as needed
Train employees on the process
Develop Training Documentation if needed during the New Product Introduction
Responsible for process improvements which include tooling, line balancing, 5S, and Lean manufacturing initiatives
Ensures that problems discovered during the pilot build are documented, and solutions are in place prior to startup
Ability to communicate at all levels in the organization, and with the customer
Ability to prioritize projects, and manage the projects to completion
Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Minimum requirements:
4 years Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing engineering
Two years of experience in a manufacturing line.
Essential and Physical Requirements:
Ability to do capacity planning and time studies.
