What You'll Do As A Program Administrator 1 with the Online Driver Training Programs:
Within the Ohio Traffic Safety Office (OTSO), provide program direction by relieving superior of non-routine administrative duties pertaining to Online Driver Training Programs:
Manage the driving school audit review project by tracking, assigning, reviewing, & following up on all submissions from field staff & administrative teams
Manage the online program review project by initiating contact, communicating with stakeholders, pulling records, reviewing documents for compliance, reviewing & documenting student training records, tracking violations, & making appropriate decisions as to the follow-up of any violations &/or discrepancies;
Communicate with the public, agencies, organizations, &/or stakeholders through multiple forms of communication method (e.g., emails, letters, face-to-face, etc.);
Monitor & assist with enterprise & instructor applications & renewals;
Monitor & review all vehicle inspections & update the system of record accordingly; Communicate with stakeholders, field staff &/or Licensing & Commercial Standards (LCS) to ensure accuracy & follow up with any inspection failures;
Assist field & administrative staff in conducting program reviews;
Serve as a liaison between administrator & subordinates; Transmit decisions & directives regarding program rules & operating procedures;
Manage, track, update, & create driver training forms;
Review online courses for content compliance & communicate with applicants on discrepancies with content;
Coordinate educational courses by identifying locations, scheduling sessions, managing logistics, & assisting in the preparation of course materials;
Formulate & implement program policy & operational procedures (e.g., research, develop, & implement new policies, procedures & best practices; communicate policy updates to all stakeholders; make recommendations & modifications to facilitate end user compliance; provide technical advice to aid director in decision making);
• Manage communications via email inbox & phone;
• Monitor, track, & disseminate driver education materials as requested by the public & our stakeholders;
• Track, monitor & ensure compliance with the approved American Automobile Association (AAA) curriculum; Ensure updates are applied & lesson plans are specific to Ohio;
• Manage policies & make updates for improvements or regulatory changes;
• Attend educational courses to provide support as needed;

Option 1
36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in business administration, management science or public administration.
Option 2
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration;
AND 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position which involved limited research & public contact.
Option 3
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file - Online Driver Training Programs;
AND 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative, managerial &/or staff position which involved limited research & public contact.
