Manages the equipment and shared experimental spaces at the ElectroScience Laboratory (ESL); plans, manages and works with ESL’s research staff and students to conduct measurements in the ESL Compact Range; maintains and recommends design changes to improve performance of the Compact Range; supports ESL research projects with mechanical assembly, circuit assembly, and circuit-board layout of RF, analog and digital circuit boards and systems; supports the construction and modification of digital and analog hardware, and antennas; manages the electronic shop for the construction and modification of electronic systems; organizes and maintains test equipment, tools and parts inventory; coordinates with equipment vendors, maintains equipment ordering and inventory documentation; provides training and proper operation of RF and microwave test equipment; trains undergraduate and graduate students in electronic technician procedures and proper use of electronic construction and test tools.

2 years of hands-on experience with electronic circuits and systems, including the design, construction and repair of electronic circuits; Experience with mechanical/electrical assembly of electronic systems.
Desired: Experience with microwave test equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and network analyzers; Experience with radar and navigation systems, Experience with scientific programming languages, such as MATLAB and LabVIEW.
The target hiring range for this job profile is $70,100- $91,600. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
