Note: This position typically follows a Monday–Friday schedule, with standard hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On Tuesdays, hours may vary between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., based on departmental needs. Flexibility is required, especially during peak periods (e.g., two weeks before the start of each semester), when extended Testing Center hours may be necessary. During these times, shifts may begin as early as 7:30 a.m. or end as late as 6:00 p.m., while still maintaining an 8-hour workday.

Description of Job

This position provides administrative and customer service support to the Testing Center for the delivery of instructional and third-party vendor exams. Assists with processing score reports and transcripts for testing exemptions. Responds to emails and phones for the department. Answers questions regarding departmental services and exams. Manages flow of candidates through the check-in process.

Serves as the primary person to ensure instructional exams and all exam materials are ready for delivery. Provides exam instructions and monitoring during exams via cameras, NetSupport, and visual observance to ensure exam integrity is maintained per Instructions given by faculty as needed. Provides support for third-party exams. Creates vouchers for Accuplacer and maintains log sheets for this exam in absence of Administrative Assistant III. Maintains all third-party vendor certifications. Assists with deescalating testers as needed.

Oversees the onboarding and training of incoming work study employees. Maintains training materials for work study employees. Develops and maintains processes for front counter check in area. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience Only:

Two (2) years of general office or clerical experience, including at least six (6) months of experience serving in a work leader or supervisory capacity, which may include assigning tasks, providing guidance or training to staff, or overseeing workflow. Daily interaction with students, faculty and staff require that this position have strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Computer literacy is a must. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary for success in this position. Do not use "see resume" statements in application. Your application must be completed in detail, showing relevant experience in order to be considered. Part time experience will be prorated.

Education and Experience:

College, university, or non-correspondence business school course work from an accredited institution in Business or related field may substitute for the clerical experience as listed above on a year for year basis. A copy of your transcript verifying the required credits must be received by application deadline in order to be considered if using substitution. Please redact age-related information on your transcript.

Preferred Qualifications: Please provide a detailed description on your application of your relevant work experience and document examples of your work in relation to the following: Experience involving a wide range of clerical responsibilities. Working knowledge of Banner or similar system. High level of speed and accuracy regarding data entry. Attention to detail (ability to check for typographical, grammatical and spelling errors, etc.). Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting targeted deadlines. Experience with problem solving processes. Understand and determine appropriate rules and regulations from various sources. Knowledge in extracting information from various reports. Prior work experience at a community college or other academic environment. Ability to deal with a diverse population with discretion and tact.

Appeal Rights:
