We're Hiring Group Leaders! Join our Before and After School Program at Pittsburgh Minadeo PreK-5 in Pittsburgh, PA.

JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt

PAY: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing:

Ensure Compliance:

Help keep our program and team aligned with state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and the expectations of our host school.

Lead the Fun:

Facilitate dynamic, hands-on activities inspired by the Healthy Kids Curriculum – including STEAM, fitness, academics, the arts, and more. You’ll also support students with homework – think of yourself as a homework superhero!

Program Oversight:

Handle essential management duties like monitoring attendance, keeping registration records up to date, and making sure staffing levels meet program needs.

Parent & Family Communication:

Keep families informed using the Playground App to share updates, answer questions, and build positive relationships.

Work as a Team:

Maintain open and regular communication with your supervisor, sharing daily updates and promptly addressing any concerns. Together, we aim to provide top-quality care, support each other professionally, and build a fun, collaborative work culture.

What We’re Looking For:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be at least 18 years old.

At least 2 years of hands-on experience with children under age 13.

Medically cleared to perform job duties and free from any communicable illnesses, including TB.

Friendly, energetic, and dependable – you communicate well with children, families, and teammates, and always show up on time and ready to go.

Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stretch, and keep up with an active group of kids!

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Option 1:

Associate degree from an accredited institution in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or a related human services field, plus 2 years of experience with children.

OR

Option 2:

Currently enrolled in a degree program in one of the above fields and actively working toward your associate degree, with 2 years of relevant experience with children.
