Software Developer in Test

Männedorf, Switzerland

Your contribution

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by planning, designing, executing, and documenting testing, verification, and validation activities with a focus on test automation. You will support the development of test infrastructure and collaborate closely with R&D project teams to drive innovation and excellence

Responsibilities

Designing automated test cases and simple test models

Monitoring automated test executions and troubleshooting issues

Working as a project team member on verification and validation (V&V) tasks

Communicating effectively with V&V and project teams

Writing clear and detailed technical specifications and documentation

Supporting the enhancement of functional and technical aspects of products and workflows

Reporting test project status to the Test Manager

Ensuring compliance with processes, SOPs, directives, guidelines, and norms

Continuously developing your professional skills and contributing to team objectives

Your background

We’re not just looking for hard skills: We’re looking for people who bring their passion and talent to work.

You have a technical or scientific education, ideally in computer science, biological or life sciences, mechanical or software engineering

You hold an ISTQB Foundation Level certification, or are willing to obtain it after joining

You bring 2–8+ years of experience in instrument or module development, preferably within the medical device industry

You are fluent in English and communicate clearly, both orally and in writing

You have strong programming skills in an object-oriented language (such as C#)

You are familiar with testing and verification processes, and have a good understanding of software development life cycles, agile methodologies, and continuous integration/deployment

You are comfortable using version control systems like Git or TFVC

You enjoy collaborating in a team, are flexible, curious, and eager to learn

You work independently, efficiently, and reliably, and are proactive in communicating progress and proposing solutions

You are motivated to take responsibility, execute routine work, and contribute to the success of the team
