Controller

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Controller to lead the companys accounting operations and financial reporting functions. This position will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of financial processes, while supporting business objectives through analysis and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee general accounting functions, including the monthly close process

Prepare and analyze financial reports to identify trends, variances, and opportunities

Maintain fixed asset records and tax depreciation schedules, ensuring proper accounting treatment

Design and implement internal control frameworks to safeguard financial integrity and mitigate risk

Identify and execute automation and efficiency improvements in accounting processes

Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations

Develop and manage financial models, forecasts, and cost allocation systems

Oversee cash management activities and ensure loan covenant compliance

Partner with the CFO to produce and deliver periodic reporting, including key operational metrics

Liaise with external auditors and coordinate audit-related activities

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities

Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls

Proven ability to lead teams and implement process improvements

Experience with financial systems and ERP platforms

Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills

Logistics/trucking experience is a must
