Job Title: Department Manager - 1st or 2nd Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Department Manager to join our production management team on the 1st shift. This role requires strong supervisory skills, including training, appraisals, and handling terminations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication abilities, a mechanical aptitude, and a proven track record in production. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of production orders and improving processes.

Responsibilities

Be an active member of the Production Management team.

Promote and ensure a safe work environment.

Monitor employee practices and equipment for safety concerns.

Supervise and coordinate the activities of the production team.

Monitor daily and weekly production schedules and goals.

Organize and assign work duties to employees.

Evaluate employee performance.

Maintain accurate employee records.

Inspect product quality at each workstation.

Ensure good housekeeping in all areas.

Ensure machines and equipment are functioning properly.

Promote 5S and Lean methodologies to the fullest extent.Essential Skills

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Previous lead and/or management experience preferred in a manufacturing setting.

Knowledgeable in Lean and MDI methodologies.

Ability to interpret and present MDI and department metrics and goals.

Comfortable working with teams on projects and making presentations to groups.

Strong communication skills with all levels of management and groups within the company.

Servant leadership mindset.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Good attendance is a must.

All team members are expected to follow the Code of Conduct to the highest standards and adhere to the Attendance Policy.

Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Must be able to work in an environment that is not climate-controlled with varying temperatures.Compensation

$60,000-$90,000/year

Work Environment

The position is on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 5:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The work environment is not climate-controlled, which may include elevated hot and cold temperatures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Two Rivers, WisconsinPay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
