We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Data Team Manager, Financial Operations to lead a Manila-based team supporting our U.S. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function. This role is responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of data-driven insights, dashboards, and reports using tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, and other analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial data, and a passion for enabling strategic decision-making through data. The role is responsible for hiring, training and developing a team to meet data and reporting goals for the Financial Operations team in Manila. Must be very strong at managing, training and developing teams for US-based companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of data analysts to support FP&A reporting and analytics needs.
Collaborate closely with U.S.-based finance leaders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable data solutions.
Oversee the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data pipelines using Power BI, Alteryx, and other tools.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting outputs.
Drive automation and process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and scalability.
Manage workload prioritization, project timelines, and stakeholder communication.
Develop and execute training and development programs grow the team’s technical and business acumen.
Hire and staff strong financial operations data analytic team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
7+ years of experience in data analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role with strong ability to create and train teams.
Strong proficiency in Power BI and Alteryx; experience with SQL, Excel, and other BI tools is a plus.
Solid understanding of financial concepts, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated experience managing staff, including hiring and training for a U.S.-based company.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in SaaS or technology companies.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality analytics solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel to the U.S. occasionally (5–10%) for team alignment and collaboration.
Flexibility to work overnight hours as needed to accommodate U.S. time zones, especially during onboarding and key project phases.
