Job Title: STEM Field Trip Instructor

Locations: Skate City Westminster (1) and Skate City Arvada (1)

Job Type: Part-Time – Monday to Friday between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM (schedule will vary between these days and times)

Salary Range: $100 per 1 hour instruction time

Job Summary:

Skate City Colorado is looking for a motivated and educated individual with a teaching degree and expertise to serve as a STEM Field Trip Instructor. We are looking to expand the Skate City team and operations with an ENERGETIC professional to fill the position for the STEM Class Instructor. We have two openings available, one at our Westminster, CO location and another at our Arvada, CO location. Skate City’s STEM field trip events occur with variable hours on Monday-Fridays between 9am-12pm.

Key Responsibilities:

Lesson plan implementation of pre-designed STEM lessons ranging from Kindergarten to 8th grade.

Oversight of materials and proper education with fellow instructors.

Incorporating the instruction of STEM to coincide with roller skating, and all aspects associated with such into each educational lesson to private school groups.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in elementary/secondary education

· Previous teaching experience in science and/or mathematics

· Thorough understanding of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics lesson plans to teach elementary and middle school aged children

· Willingness to learn and create positive customer relationships

· Flexibility with hours and days worked

· Must have a clean motor vehicle record and able to pass drug screening and background check.

Work Day:

· Any combination of days and times Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This will depend on how many events are scheduled, generally 0-4 events per week with a maximum of 15 events per month.

· Looking to fill availability at both the Westminster and Arvada locations (north Denver metro area).

· Instructor would only be needed for the first hour of the field trip, which would include the STEM lesson to the students.

· All equipment, supplies, and curriculum is provided and established. New instructor would receive training on how to conduct the STEM lessons.
