Mechanical Planner 2 - Nuclear Maintenance

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Planner 2 to support planning and execution of mechanical maintenance activities within a nuclear facility. This role requires prior nuclear industry experience and involves developing and managing mechanical work orders, conducting walkdowns, and ensuring work packages align with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and plan mechanical maintenance work orders to support nuclear operations.
Perform field walkdowns to validate scope, identify job requirements, and ensure readiness of work packages.
Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to ensure accurate planning and execution.
Prepare detailed planning documentation, including parts, labor, tools, and safety requirements.
Ensure compliance with nuclear safety, environmental, and quality assurance standards.
Support scheduling and resource planning for assigned mechanical activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve planning-related issues to minimize downtime and maintain plant reliability. Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in planning mechanical maintenance activities.
Prior nuclear industry experience required.
Skills & Expertise:
Strong understanding of mechanical systems within nuclear facilities.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, work packages, and technical documentation.
Proficiency in maintenance planning systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP, or equivalent).
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
