Title: PLC Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift
Shift & Hours: 2nd Shift Hours - 2pm to 10pm. Monday through Friday. With the occasional Saturday. But not often.

Pay Rate:
$36-$38p/hour
$5,000 sign on bonus.

As a PLC Maintenance Technician, you will be the go-to expert for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving automated systems and mechanical equipment across our facility.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment (wrappers, mixers, motors, conveyors, refrigeration systems).
Install and maintain control and distribution equipment including switches, relays, and circuit breakers.
Connect and power electrical components, install grounding leads, and ensure equipment safety.
Program, repair, and maintain PLCs, robots, and other automated machinery.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on production systems.
Inspect and test machinery to diagnose issues and replace defective parts as needed.
Maintain and update documentation for electrical and control systems hardware and software.
Support mechanical team in diagnosing and resolving controls-related failures.
Supervise and train Mechanics across shifts on electrical and automation troubleshooting.
Work from offsite locations as needed for remote troubleshooting and repair support.
Ensure repairs and inspections are conducted during production and scheduled downtime.
Oversee production line maintenance activities on equipment downtime days.
Comply with safety protocols, GMP standards, and all regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 5 yearsâ experience in maintenance of manufacturing systems and automated equipment.
Experience with troubleshooting mechanical components (gearboxes, chains, belts, brakes, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and P&IDs.
Skilled in working with electrical systems up to 480V 3-phase.
Knowledge of and experience using power tools, hand tools, welding, lathes, drill presses, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or technical certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Automation.
Rockwell PLC and Drives certification.
Proficiency in RSLogix and FactoryTalk View.
Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
Background in food manufacturing and GMP environments.
Full machine and control system design, installation, and commissioning experience.
