Position Summary:
To support the recording of the financial position of the credit union in an accurate and timely manner, and to provide support for Finance/Accounting in a professional manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and perform general ledger daily journal entries.
Import daily journal entries into core accounting system.
Prepare and perform daily and monthly reconciliations.
Assist accounting team members with the monthly sales tax audit.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Attention to detail: Accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness.
Ability to learn and utilize Accounting systems to accurately document financial transactions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education and Experience:
Pursuing an Accounting degree with two years of schooling completed, to include introduction classes to Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting and Statistics.
Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation):
Long periods of sitting will occur regularly.
Occasional lifting and/or moving 15 lbs or less.
Use of a computer and telephone required.
Occasional bending, stooping, or crouching may be required.
