This opportunity is full-time during first shift.

In this role, you will:

Perform a vital part of the patient care process through examining prepared slides with the microscope to detect evidence of abnormalities

Report negative Pap Test cases and refers abnormal cases to the pathologists for review

May read Non-GYN specimens and report findings to the pathologists for final diagnosis

Document for each 24-hour period, the total number of slides examined or reviewed in the laboratory or for any other employer.

Document the number of hours spent examining slides in each 24-hour period.

Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment

Champion safety, compliance, and quality control

All you need is:

Graduation from an accredited school of cytology

Cytotechnologist certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists

Will possess critical thinking, complex problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills.

Ability to operate general laboratory equipment and have basic computer skills.

Bonus points if you’ve got:

2+ years of laboratory training or experience
