Our client is looking for a skilled Senior Control Engineer to join a high-performing automation team developing and supporting next-generation production equipment for cutting-edge industries like aerospace, AI, automotive, and more.
In this role, you will: * Design and implement control systems for new and existing in-house automation equipment * Develop electrical schematics, specify components, and integrate machine-to-network communication * Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, servo controls, vision systems (Cognex), and robotics (6-Axis and SCARA) * Lead or support automation projects from concept through deployment, balancing short-term support with long-term improvements * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and optimize performance * Provide hands-on support for control systems including VFDs, pneumatics, sensors, and motion controllers * Create documentation including BOMs, user manuals, wiring diagrams, and system layouts * Maintain compliance with electrical safety and industry standards (NFPA, OSHA) * Contribute to capital equipment projects and research emerging technologies in automation and vision systems What You Bring: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering * 5+ years of experience in manufacturing automation * Proficiency in PLC/HMI programming, robot and servo control, and electrical design * Strong experience in troubleshooting and optimizing control systems * Familiarity with CAD tools and standard office software * Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-driven mindset
