This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Allstate Identity Protection. We are currently looking for an Auto Field Claims Representative I or II in New York (USA).
This role offers the opportunity to manage and resolve auto and specialty material damage claims in a hands-on, client-facing environment. You will be responsible for creating and auditing accurate estimates of damages, negotiating settlements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. The position emphasizes strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and effective communication with internal teams and external clients. Operating in a flexible, hybrid environment, this role allows for professional growth, mentoring, and contribution to the overall claims process. Candidates should be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality service while supporting regional operations.
Accountabilities:
Create or audit comprehensive estimates of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims in auto or specialty lines.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and fair claims practices in all settlement activities.
Negotiate settlements and document all claim activities accurately.
Build strong relationships with internal and external customers to facilitate smooth claim resolutions.
Provide technical assistance, mentoring, and guidance on complex claims when necessary.
Collaborate with team members and management to identify and implement process improvements.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies and coverage types.
Requirements
Active New York adjuster license preferred.
2+ years of experience handling auto or specialty claims preferred.
Strong estimating fundamentals and knowledge of material damage claim processes.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently while supporting regional teams and operations.
Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Base hourly compensation: $19.59 – $37.88 (depending on experience and qualifications)
