As a Material Handling Equipment Specialist, you will tackle essential tasks under the guidance of seasoned professionals. Let’s delve into what a day in your life might look like: Daily Adventures:

Examine and fix forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment to comply with OSHA regulations.

Care for batteries and chargers, adhering to safety standards.

Assess equipment efficiency using voltmeters and similar tools.

Handle tools and machines with diligence, safeguarding both equipment and self.

Scrutinize safety equipment to confirm adherence to compliance norms.

Document maintenance activities within the CMMS system to ensure ongoing operational efficiency.

Champion a tidy and organized workspace, embodying the principles of 6S methodology.

Take on additional maintenance tasks and respond to urgent needs, even beyond regular hours. Prerequisites for Success:

Possess a high school diploma or GED.

A minimum of one year of experience in forklift maintenance.

Alternatively, hold training in forklift maintenance from industry leaders such as Crown or Raymond.

Or, have two years' experience in another mechanical field, such as auto or diesel mechanics.

Be ready to complete additional technical training as required.

Become certified and trained in HAZMAT.

Show proficiency in basic computer operations. Stand Out with These:

Experience in Cold Storage environments.

Advanced training in forklift repair.

Technical certification or diploma.

Oracle CMMS proficiency. Brave Challenges:

Weather conditions can vary. Tackle temperatures ranging from -20 ree;F to outdoor extremes.

Navigate heights beyond 35 ft. and adeptly climb ladders and stairs.

Frequently lift 50 lbs and engage in physical movements like kneeling and crouching.

Work amidst weekends and during night shifts when necessary.

Pass necessary physical and respiratory assessments.
