Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with hands-on experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing warehouse machinery and conveyor belt systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring all equipment runs efficiently with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyor belts, motors, and warehouse machinery.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues in a fast-paced environment.
Inspect, adjust, and replace defective parts, components, and wiring as needed.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Work with team members and supervisors to prioritize and complete repair tasks quickly and safely.
Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and lockout/tagout protocols.
Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and new installations.
Maintain tools, equipment, and parts inventory to ensure operational readiness.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade school preferred.
3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, preferably in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of conveyor systems, mechanical components, and industrial machinery.
Solid understanding of electrical systems, wiring, schematics, and troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, or on-call as required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
Comfortable working in warehouse conditions (heat, cold, noise, heights).
Ability to bend, climb, stoop, and work in tight spaces.Company Description
Industry Experience
Hands-on knowledge of Division 8 (doors, frames, hardware) – or at least familiarity with the specs, products, and installation processes
OR
Solid PM experience from a General Contractor, especially managing multi-trade commercial projects
2. Project Management Know-How
Proven ability to manage construction projects end-to-end (budgeting, scheduling, procurement, closeout)
Comfortable juggling multiple active jobs with changing priorities
3. Blueprint & Spec Reading
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, hardware schedules, and shop drawings
Understanding of construction terminology and scopes of work
4. Strong Communication Skills
Can confidently coordinate with GCs, subcontractors, vendors, and clients
Clear, professional written and verbal communication – especially when problems pop up
5. Tech & Tools Proficiency
Familiar with Procore, Bluebeam, Excel, and maybe even ERP systems or estimating software
Comfortable with digital submittals, RFIs, tracking changes, and documentation
6. Organizational Skills
Highly detail-oriented and deadline-driven
Can manage material lead times, delivery schedules, and field coordination without letting things slip
7. Problem-Solving Ability
Quick thinker who can resolve site issues, missing hardware, change orders, or scheduling conflicts without drama
Knowledge of fire-rated, ADA-compliant, or security hardware
DHI certification (like AHC or CDC)
OSHA 30 certification
