seeking experienced and qualified individuals for the position of:
OPERATOR - (Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Grade I - II)
OIT- Operator In Training
NATURE OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED:
The Victor Valley Wastewater Reclamation Authority is currently seeking experienced and qualified individuals for the position of Operator. Duties include Operating complex treatment units, analyzing process control information, executing process control adjustments based on training and experience, and assisting in the maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and the collection system, for the Victor Valley Wastewater Reclamation Authority (VVWRA). This position reports to the Operation Supervisor.
Minimum Education/Experience:
Candidate must possess (at a minimum) a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), it is also desirable to have successfully completed coursework in wastewater treatment technologies, safety and maintenance. Must possess and maintain in good standing a Grade I-II or higher Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certificate issued by the California State Water Resources Control Board and a valid State of California Class C driver’s license.
Fringe Benefits Include:
CalPERS 2.5% @ 55 (2%@55 applies if previously a CalPERS member with no more than a 6 month break in membership. If employee is new to CalPERS or has not been a member for over 6 months formula is 2% @ 62.)
