THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with DevOps experience to design, build, and maintain our robust backend infrastructure. You will be responsible for enabling secure data processing, scalable deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and managing our cloud environments. Your work will be foundational to the reliability and security of our platform.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Build scalable backend services, data models, and APIs using Go (Golang), NestJS (Node.js), or PHP Laravel.

-Develop and implement secure user authentication and role-based access control systems.

-Set up, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

-Manage server deployments and monitor system performance, ensuring reliability and scalability.

-Implement data encryption, secure data handling, and storage solutions.

-Optimize APIs for performance and efficiency.

-Write comprehensive unit and integration tests for backend services.

-Champion a delivery-focused approach within the backend and DevOps practices.

KEY DELIVERIBALES: You'll Own/Co-own:

-Backend APIs and Data Models

-Deployment Pipelines (CI/CD)

-User Authentication and Role Management System

-Monitoring and Logging System

-Secure and Scalable Cloud Infrastructure

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

- 2+ years of backend development experience with a strong preference for Go (Golang), NestJS, or PHP Laravel.

- Proven experience with cloud platforms.

- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.

- Proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).

- Solid understanding of database design, security best practices, and data protection (e.g., GDPR).

- Familiarity with API design principles and best practices.

- Demonstrable experience in writing and maintaining tests for backend systems.

- Experience utilising AI-powered development tools (e.g., Cursor AI, Lovable, Bolts) for backend development and process optimization.

- A strong delivery-oriented mindset.

BONUS POINTS:

-Experience with data masking techniques.

- Knowledge of data security requirements for enterprise platforms.
