Gifthealth is a rapidly growing digital pharmacy and hub services company dedicated to improving patient access and experience across the healthcare journey. We are seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Digital Experience to lead our digital strategy and elevate the patient journey. This individual will play a critical role in shaping our platforms usability, trust, and scalability, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital design and strategy, patient engagement, and cross-functional leadership.
Responsibilities:
Digital Strategy & Leadership:
Lead digital strategy with a holistic view of the patient journey.
Identify high-level opportunities to improve platform experience and provide recommendations to influence direction.
Achieve immediate design demands while planning for long-term scalability to serve multiple manufacturers.
Drive data-driven decision making and own key patient experience metrics to reinforce strategic impact.
Team Management & Culture:
Report to the CTO, while managing, mentoring, and hiring product roles (ex. designers).
Foster a culture of continuous learning through workshops, prototypes, user research, usability testing, and A/B testing.
Ensure consistency of user experience and design craft across the platform.
Experience Design & Execution:
Oversee and enhance digital touch points throughout our products by coordinating with the Product Engineering team and other teams throughout the business.
Develop brand and internal communications plans.
Create patient-centered designs and products that increase adoption, reduce support call volume, and improve conversion rates.
Cross-Functional Partnerships:
Collaborate with Product Engineering to meet roadmap milestones and competitively differentiate within the hub services market.
Partner with Customer Success teams to gather patient data, surveys, analyze findings, and track key metrics.
Partner with Operations to streamline internal tooling and reduce operational friction.
Collaborate with Copywriters to ensure consistent messaging and an appropriate voice/tone.
Engage with Executive Leadership to envision future platform growth and evolution.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Design, Digital Strategy, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field (Masters preferred).
Minimum of 7 years of experience in digital experience leadership, preferably in healthcare, pharma, or regulated industries.
Proven track record in user experience design, product strategy, and digital engagement.
Strong knowledge of HIPAA and regulatory requirements impacting digital healthcare solutions.
Experience managing and growing design teams.
Expertise in usability testing, design validation, and data-driven design improvements.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Ability to balance patient, prescriber, and manufacturer needs while delivering scalable solutions.
Desired skills in analytics, accessibility (ADA compliance), and patient engagement technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in digital healthcare platforms or patient support programs.
Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks, survey tools, and data analytics platforms.
Background in agile product development and collaboration with engineering teams.
Knowledge of hub services market trends and competitive landscape.
