Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Birthing Center
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) to join our dynamic Birthing Center for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns, ensuring a safe and supportive environment during childbirth and postpartum recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care during the stages of labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
- Monitor the health of mothers and newborns, performing assessments and interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
- Assist with newborn care, including assessments, bathing, and feeding.
- Educate patients and families on post-delivery care and newborn care practices.
- Float to Med-Surg and ED units as needed, ensuring flexibility and adaptability within the facility.
- Participate in bi-weekly orientations to stay updated on protocols and practices.
Requirements:
- Current RN license valid for practice.
- AHA BLS and NRP certifications (Non-negotiable).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a LDRP unit or a similar birthing department.
- Proven experience with Epic EMR system within the last 2 years.
- Availability to work every other weekend and 2 out of 4 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day).
- Reliable transportation; public transportation is not accessible in this area.
Additional Information:
- Contract length: 91 days (13 weeks).
- Orientation held bi-weekly on Mondays with no block schedules available.
- Must provide complete work history information for submission.
