Job Description:

The University of Northern Iowa Admissions Office is a student-centered team dedicated to making the college process clear and personal. Primary Function: Responsible for domestic freshman recruitment, admissions and yield activities; serves as a member of the department’s leadership team to help shape and support the strategic goals and priorities; provides leadership and mentorship to the recruitment team; oversees the outreach and recruitment activities and efforts for attracting a broad range of domestic freshman applicants and students; coordinates with departmental leadership to implement student recruitment strategies and manages resources in order to meet new student enrollment goals; counsels and advises prospective students and parents; facilitates strong relationships and communication with high school counselors, community college advisors, and campus partners; and monitors freshmen applications and enlists recruitment staff in activities related to application processing.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; at least five years of higher education experience in recruitment, admissions, sales/marketing or related higher education experience; demonstrated success in student recruitment and territory management; experience analyzing data and directing recruitment activities targeted at specific populations; team building skills; demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills; ability to interact effectively with students, parents, school counselors, and other campus partners; and experience developing and maintaining relationships with key influencers required. Master’s degree; experience managing a recruitment team; and supervisory experience including experience hiring, training, leading, and motivating staff preferred. Frequent work outside normal work hours and moderate travel will be necessary.

Compensation:

$65,000 to Commensurate
