Shape the Future of Sustainable Water Solutions

Solutions Coordinator

Peterborough (Hybrid – 3 days in office/site)

Water is Life. Help Us Protect It.

The East of England faces a unique challenge: it’s home to rich natural ecosystems, yet it’s one of the most water-stressed regions in the UK. At the @one Alliance, we’re leading the charge to change that.

We’re a ground-breaking collaboration between eight leading organisations – Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska, and SWECO – and we deliver over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.

As we step into our most ambitious phase yet – AMP8 – we’re innovating like never before. We're embracing nature-based solutions, reducing carbon, enhancing natural capital, and putting sustainability at the heart of every project.

Your Impact Starts Here

As a Coordinator in our Solutions team, you’ll be involved at the very heart of project development – guiding the earliest stages of exciting infrastructure and environmental projects.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone early in their career or transitioning into the water or construction sector. If you’re curious, solutions-focused, and passionate about sustainability, this role is your chance to grow while making a real-world difference.

What You’ll Do

Support the Project Solutions Manager in the delivery of water and water recycling projects

Investigate project needs and gather key data through research and site visits

Help develop creative and sustainable solutions using root cause analysis and engineering insight

Coordinate early project documentation, reports, and plans

Drive carbon reduction, ecological enhancement, and digital innovation in your solutions

Work closely with engineers, stakeholders, and clients to align on practical, future-facing project paths

Assist with early-stage Health & Safety documentation, risk assessments, and environmental impact reviews

Promote strong collaboration, inclusion, and positive working relationships across all levels

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

A-Levels, T-Levels, BTEC or relevant work experience

Interest or background in engineering, construction, or water-related fields

A curious mindset and willingness to challenge “the way it’s always been done”

Strong communication and organisational skills

Enthusiasm to grow and develop your career in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment

Desirable:

Degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline

Knowledge of water sector assets or Health & Safety in construction

Creative thinking and basic project coordination experience

Understanding of sustainability, environmental or digital trends in infrastructure

Why Join the @one Alliance?

At the @one Alliance, we are more than just a delivery partner – we are agents of transformation. We offer:

A collaborative, inclusive and supportive team culture

Clear career progression and development opportunities

Hybrid working flexibility

Opportunities to directly contribute to climate resilience and environmental health

Apply now and become part of a team that’s challenging the norm, thinking sustainably, and delivering solutions that matter.
