Senior Purchasing Manager

We are representing an industry leading FORTUNE 500 manufacturing organization who is actively seeking a senior level Purchasing Manager due to a recently announced promotion.

The Senior Purchasing Manager will report directly to the VP/General Manager who is looking to begin the interview process ASAP!

POSITION OVERVIEWCandidate will report to the company VP/General Manager while managing (4) direct reportsComplete financial/budgetary ownership of departmentProvide direction and leadership consistent with company and business plan goals.Maintain and develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendorsManage vendor and supplier selection process based on price, quality, and reliabilityDirect and drive the utilization of problem solving methods for related plant and customer issues.Work closely with plant staff to development "HI-POT " talentResponsible for improving process efficiency through best practices, SOP's, and lean manufacturing.

POSITION REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree is required for considerationCandidate should have at least 3-5 years of purchasing leadership experienceSubject matter expertise in Purchasing and Supply Chain systems.
